Frequently Asked Questions

  • Raising Thriving Families (founded by Lina Lie, formerly The Heartful Mama) is a parenting support and coaching platform. We help parents move away from punishment and yelling and guide them toward building genuine connection, cooperation, and calm in their homes.

  • Our programs are strictly family-centric, meaning we don't just focus on your child's behavior—we look at you, too. Our work integrates:

    • Brain Science: Understanding how your child’s developing brain shapes their behavior so you can stop taking outbursts personally.

    • Nervous System Awareness: Learning to recognize your own triggers so you can choose a calm response instead of a reactive one.

    • Emotional Intelligence: Building the skills necessary to hold space for big emotions—both yours and your child's.

    • Positive Parenting: Shifting away from traditional punishment toward connection-based tools that work long-term.

  • Absolutely. It is completely normal to experience a gap between the parent you want to be and the one who shows up when things get hard. We focus on bridging that gap by turning theoretical knowledge into practical tools and real-world understanding that fit into your daily life.

  • We offer various levels of support to fit different schedules, budgets, and family needs:

    • Self-Paced Learning: A structured 10-week digital course that includes lifetime access to materials and 3 live coaching sessions so you can learn at your own speed (Coming Soon).

    • Group Programs: Opportunities to grow alongside a community of like-minded parents through Reflective Parent Circles and Circle of Security Parenting Groups.

    • 1:1 Personalized Coaching: Tailored, individual guidance focused specifically on your family’s unique challenges. This includes Spotlight Coaching and private, curriculum-based coaching.

    • If you prefer to learn independently but still want occasional access to guidance, the Self-Paced Course is a great fit.

    • If you thrive on community, shared experiences, and feeling seen by other parents, our Group Programs are ideal.

    • If you have highly specific challenges and want focused, individualized attention, 1:1 Coaching will give you the deepest support.

  • Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. I’m here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving. My goal as your parent coach is to guide you to find solutions that work best not just for your child, but for the whole family.
